June Nature Box Review

Nature Box sends you 5 full-sized, healthy snacks each month. To find out more about them, check out my Subscription Box List. They now let you choose between getting a random mix of snacks for the month or choosing which snacks you'd like to get. Of course, what fun would it be for me if I knew what was coming. So I left it at random. I never sneak a peek at any previews for any of my boxes.

Their box is probably one of the biggest boxes I get. That is probably how you know you get a full-size for each snack. They have such a nice box too. This came really late though. I got it the first week of July and this was supposed to be my June box.

I love the new packaging! It looks so unique and natural yet stylish. Forgive my total inability to explain it with fancy words. I just love the new packaging. Only problem with it is that it was a pain in the butt to open. The information card has all the info on each snack as well as tips on how to eat it. I decided to let Bee and his co-worker test them out for me since I originally got this so Bee would have snacks he could take to work.

Tart & Tangy Fruit Medley: This one has dried cranberries and apple bits. It was definitely tart! They also said it had a very rich flavor to it. The cranberries and apple bits are easy to distinguish when eating. Definitely a hit and a healthy snack that Bee can eat instead of all those salty pretzels that they buy in bulk. I personally love dried apples too so I ended up snacking on some before giving it to him.Yummy!

South Pacific Plantains: I was kind of excited to try this one because I had those amazing sweet plantain chips from my Love With Food box last month. These were a salty variety with sea salt. I didn't really care for these, probably because I'm more of a sweets type of person. Bee and his co-worker really enjoyed it though! They said it had just the right amount of salt. Good, because they will be the ones eating it.

Mango Almond Bites: Bee loves mango so this is great for him. They said that it was really crunchy, which I figured. The bag says they are crispy rice squares. His co-worker mentioned that it tasted really fresh too. I'm not a huge almond fan, since I don't eat nuts, so I didn't try this one.

Cherry Crumble Granola: The first thing I did when I opened this bag was smell it. There is a strong coconut scent to it. Checked the back, yep, there is definitely coconut in there. It's easy to taste too. They did say that there wasn't enough of a cherry flavor. More cherries please? Other than that, they loved it. They said the granola was really good. Bee loved it.

Tuscan Summer Mix: So this one, Bee's co-worker tried first. When they say that it's Italian-spiced, they mean it. The smell of it made me think I was in a restaurant waiting for some yummy pizza or something Italian. His co-worker said that the flavor goes from a real nutty flavor into something that tastes like pizza. He really enjoyed it and said it's interesting. I didn't try it but it does sound interesting and smells amazing.

Overall, I really loved this mix of snacks. I didn't put in the value because they send full-sized snacks. So basically, I paid $4 for each snack which I say isn't that bad considering that they are healthy and all natural. Bee is gonna love snacking on these at work. I'm so glad I got it for him. However, there is some sad news. I did cancel this because I'm rotating through my list of boxes. I don't think I'll renew though just because of the process that I had to go through just to cancel. I had to call their call center which is not open 24 hours and talk to someone asking me why I'm canceling. Not pleasant for me at all. Despite that, I totally recommend this box. If you don't think you're gonna cancel and will love getting this box for a long time, it's worth it.

Here is what the box looks like. It has all kinds of stuff on top of it. I'm actually surprised at the condition of the box. Just so you know, this box took almost a month from when they shipped it to get to me. I don't blame Bulu Box though, it was definitely USPS that was to blame. It ended up in Richmond, CA and after that I got no tracking information at all. Then one day, it was delivered to me.

Here is what was included in my June box. This one is definitely not stuffed to the maximum like other boxes are but that's alright. It does say 4-5 products and I got 5. I must say that this is my first time that I've ever tried supplements or anything that has to do with helping me be healthy and in shape. If you ask anyone in my family, I hate taking medicines or pills of any kind.

Probiotic Antioxident Blend (about $1.27): I'm getting all the prices off their website. So I tried this one myself. I almost choked on this, not kidding. Like I said, I don't like pills. The second time around, I had no problems with it so it must have been an error on my part. This is supposed to improve digestion and nutrient absorption, recognize good bacteria and restore proper balance, and strengthen your immune system. Well, I could not tell if it was doing anything at all. It had no negative or positive effects on me that I could tell.

BluCetin (about $2.33): This is supposed to help alcohol pass through your system faster so you don't get hungover and lessen the negative side effects of drinking. Unfortunately, we didn't get to test this. I don't drink alcohol, so only Bee could actually use it. Every time he had the opportunity to try it, he passed because his stomach wasn't feeling well. I'm pretty sure that this would not affect his stomach anymore than alcohol but I wasn't gonna force him. Hopefully this works! If it does, then we'll be buying more.

Burn Blend (about $6.22):  Out of all the products that I got, this one I was the most worried about. I've heard some bad things about pills that are supposed to help with weight loss. But I had to test it. I really don't like posting up these reviews without first testing the products. I actually had to toss one of the pills because their was way too much cotton stuck to it from the puff they put in the bottle. One thing you should also know, it was that time of the month for me when I tested this. I love it! It works great! I could totally tell my metabolism had sped up because I was more hungry throughout the day. Not only that, but it kept me from being bloated all day. So no, I won't use this for weight loss any time soon. Will I use it to keep myself from being bloated during that time of the month? Yes!

Flap Jacked Protein Pancake Mix Buttermilk (about $1): I normally love pancakes but I tested this one on Bee. He is always looking for good protein snacks and foods that he can eat before or after he works out. I was quite happy we got this in the box. It is super simple to make. You just add water and cook like a normal pancake. Bee said that it was a little bland but probably because he only put butter on it and not real butter. He is sure that if I put syrup on it, that it would taste better.

EatGreenTea (about $0.87): This is supposed to contain as much antioxidants as 30 cups of brewed green tea. As you all know, I am not a fan of green tea. I was going to test it on Bee but every time the opportunity popped up, I had forgotten to bring it with me. So I had to test it. I'm sure Bee would enjoy this but I don't. On first bite, you don't really taste anything and then the more you chew it, the more the strong green tea flavor comes out. I had it with oatmeal with bananas mixed in. If you don't like the flavor of tea, you should definitely mix it with something that will overpower it. If you do, then you should have no problem with eating this.

Overall, the value of the samples equaled to around $11.69. So it was worth more than the cost of the box. What really gives Bulu Box it's value, in my opinion, is the fact that you get to try different supplements and products. The great thing about it is that if it doesn't work, you really didn't waste any money because it's not a full size product. If it does work, then a lot of the products are at a cheaper price on their website. The true value is in their customer service. Some of the best customer service I've ever gotten, which leads me to the giveaway.

Since my box took forever to get to me, I actually contacted them about it. They said that my box had gotten lost and that they'd send me a replacement box. The replacement box came fast! I felt bad because the original one had actually made it to me. So I contacted them again to let them know what happened. Guess what? They are so awesome that they are letting me give the replacement box away to one of my readers! So a big thank you to Bulu Box for being so awesome!

June Ditsies Review

Ditsies is a monthly subscription box that sends you a panty a month for $12. If you'd like to find out more about them, you can find out on my Subscription Box List. For June, I changed up my preferences so that I'd get something different from May. Right now, they have two different options to choose from.

They send their panty in a plain white package. That way no one will know you got some underwear in there coming to your mail. It's all very discreet which is good because sometimes my mail goes through many different hands before it reaches me.

The little bag that it comes in is also super cute! I really love the details that go into the whole packaging. It would be great for gifting jewelry or other small things. So I'm definitely keeping the bag for some other purpose.

So this is the panty that I got. It is the brazilian cheeky style. So basically it's like a thong. When I took this out, I immediately thought it was too big. Unfortunately, I was right. It did not quite fit right in the lower area. Mainly it was just too loose. That's too bad because I really liked it.

Overall, Ditsies is a great subscription service but I ended up cancelling my subscription. Why? They don't offer the size XS. I'm definitely not a small as evidenced by the panty not fitting me. Sometimes being tiny is not a good thing. This is one of them, it's much harder to find much of anything that fits me correctly. If you fall into the average size and aren't extraordinarily tiny like me, then you should definitely give Ditsies a try. They have quality underwear. It's just not for me but only because of the size.

June Wantable Jewelry Review

I bet you were wondering where my Wantable box review went especially since I said I'd never cancel my subscription. Well, I didn't cancel it. I just skipped my makeup one so I could try the jewelry one. Since the makeup one was so impressive, I totally wanted to test the jewelry one. For those that don't know what Wantable is, you can find out more information at my Subscription Box List.

I had the hardest time finding jewelry subscription boxes that I really wanted to try. I like small vs. big and simple vs. complex. Many boxes seemed to showcase jewelry that just was too much for me. Since Wantable allows you to customize what you can possibly get, I was all for trying it.

    

Let me tell you, Wantable ships so fast. I almost couldn't believe it. While I had been waiting for some of my boxes for more than 2 weeks, this one came in about a week from when I ordered it. So not only do they customize it but it ships fast. Once again, they included a list of what products were included in my box. This one featured Lisa Eurdolian from prettyconnected.com.  

Okay, so you know that they care about your products arriving to you safely when it's packed with that much stuffing. Seriously, I couldn't even pack it back in. It took up pretty much the whole box. Then I discovered all the jewelry and accessories at the bottom of it. Like digging for treasure!

Loretta Necklace ($22): I love this necklace! I've always wanted a multi-strand necklace but never got around to buying one. Thought that would be my fault. I spend my money on food not jewelry. Plus it looks amazing on me! Well, I did take a long time to get ready that day too. Bee saw the picture and said I look hot. Seriously, he doesn't compliment me often so when he does I just about pass out from happiness. That picture of it alone does not do it justice. The coloring is more grey for the beads.

Betsy Earring ($20): Yep, that is what they are called on the information paper. I think these earrings are so cute! I love them. Would I have bought them if I had seen it myself? No. Am I glad I got them? Umm, yes! Wantable rocks because they send me stuff I would never go and buy myself but love! Totally a keeper. Oh, and that is why I don't smile in my pictures often because my eyes are not the same size and it becomes more obvious when I smile. 

Julie Lynn Headband ($20): I'm not a big headband fan because they don't look good on me. I wish I did match them though. I've always loved headbands but for some reason they don't like me in return. This one was super cute too. I think I'll give it away as a gift to a family member. There is a ton of birthdays coming up. This would make a great present.

Hadley Earring ($20): So I had a picture of me wearing these but didn't put it up. Why? Because I felt I looked terrible in the picture. It was not the earrings fault though. I love these. I'm such a huge hoops fan. My favorite earrings used to be these salmon pick hoops until my sister wore them and destroyed them. So glad I got these. They are so gorgeous! They look heavy but aren't at all. I love the color of it too. Totally my style.

Katy Sunglasses ($15): This was the only thing in the box I was not excited about. First off, I'm not a huge fan of floral print. It's probably due to the fact that I live in Hawaii and I definitely see enough floral print to last me several lifetimes. Second, I only wear super expensive Oakley sunglasses. So quality is very important to me. They are cute but definitely not for me.

Overall, the value of the box equaled to $97. Now that is a deal. This box only cost $36. Seriously, how great is that? You know you are getting a great value for the money you spend on any Wantable box you get. This is my second box from this company and it did not disappoint at all. I'm so glad I signed up for the jewelry box too. Even if I don't like the sunglasses, I loved everything else.

June Birchbox Man Review

About: Birchbox is basically a way to discover new products via samples that they send. It costs $20 a month for the men's box and shipping is free. For men, it includes grooming products along with lifestyle products from socks to tech accessories. By shopping, referring friends, and giving feedback, you gain points that can be used towards future purchases. You can't put your subscription on hold but you can cancel at anytime. This is what it looks like! I love how the box looks. It has a very neat, professional look to it. I also think it's pretty awesome that it slides out like a little drawer. Definitely one of the coolest boxes I've ever gotten even if it wasn't exactly for me. I actually signed up for this box because I know Bee is always looking for good products to use in his grooming routine. Sometimes it's just hard for him to decide because he doesn't want to spend tons of money only to find out that product doesn't work for him. Thus, this box is pretty much awesome for him.

As you can see, one of the products actually leaked. I'll talk about that later. I do love that they include a little information card on each product and how to use it. I mean, sometimes you just gotta point out the obvious. No harm in leaving directions for everything. Well, I guess you don't need directions for how to put socks on.

Richer Poorer Socks ($24): Wow! These socks are kind of expensive. I mean, I'm used to buying those cheap packs of them. Then again, I don't wear shoes that often but Bee does and he buys the cheapest socks he can find. I was a little skeptical about these. Bee favors ankle high socks but he said he would totally rock the green ones. Yay! The other pair went to my brother who said he'll wear them when he goes to San Diego for his baseball trip.

GO247 Shave Cream ($8): This was the product that leaked. Thank goodness they put it in a plastic baggy and wrapped it up because otherwise it would've been a hot mess in that box for sure. I would say this is a deluxe size sample because the actual one is 4 oz. Too bad like 1/3 of it leaked out. Bee did like it when he shaved. I'm not really sure if he would buy it though.

John Allan's Slickwater Pre-Shave Solution ($ ???): This sample is so tiny that I could not put an estimate on it. A whole 2 oz. bottle of it is $30 so this sample is probably worth more than $1. Bee really liked it. He didn't have any nicks or razor burn. So the combination of this plus the shaving cream worked really great. It is kinda pricey though. But overall, he really liked this one.

Suki Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser ($ ???): Yeah, that thing was tiny. I saw this in other reviews and I have to agree with how small it is. Jongy was quite interested in it when I opened it up. It's always fun to open my boxes when both my cats are around to explore with me since Bee is usually at work. The 4 oz. container is $32.95. I ended up trying this one day. It made my skin feel super clean. I liked it but I'm not a huge fan. It totally cleans your face good though. Luckily, I got a small face and there is still more for me to use.

Old Spice Pure Sport Bar Soap ($5.31): This was what was making that box smell so good! When I first opened the outer box, it smelled amazing. Seriously, I was all like, "OMG! This smells like a hot guy!" Haha! Bee thought it smelled good too. I opened it when he picked me up from work. We didn't even have to test this. As huge fans of Old Spice and loyal customers, we already know how much this rocks. I'm so glad they gave this as a little bonus item! That and it's the actual whole soap bar, not a sample. Bee loved getting this!

Overall, the value was way higher than the $20 price. It's so worth it to get this box that it isn't even funny. I'm so, so, so in love with Birchbox for men and I'm not even a man. Great samples to try out and a freaking amazing bonus item. I can't wait to see what we get in our July box! It's too bad it takes forever and a day to get to Hawaii. We almost received this box in July.

June Conscious Box Review

If you'd like to learn more about Conscious Box, feel free to check out the information in my Subscription Box List. For those that don't know what it is, Conscious Box is an eco box. They send a variety of organic and natural products every month. If you want to see a previous review, here is my May Review.

    

Here is the first look. I didn't post the picture of the outside box. Conscious Box is pretty much a box in a box. The outer box is thicker while the inner box has this little window.

    

What you saw in the window was the backside of their card that tells you a little on what inspired their box. There was also that gorgeous postcard! Jessica, the winner of my giveaway, should be getting it soon along with her prizes. I love postcards but never have a reason to use them so I'm so glad I got to send it. The second picture is the list with the information on the products included. I'm so glad that include a list, it's such a great help.

So that is what it looks like when it's all packed nicely in the box. Then I took it out and could not fit it all back in. The great thing about them is that they put so much stuff in one tiny little box! I mean, seriously, I don't know how they do it.

Nature's Baby Organics Shampoo and Body Wash ($9.95): The price is not the sample price, just so you know. That's the price for an 8 oz. bottle but I don't want to try estimate how much a sample costs. I'll just say this, it smells amazing! I love, love, love how it smells. It smells just like an orange creamsicle. If you've never had one, go eat it, it's delicious and perfect for fighting the summertime heat. This works great as a shampoo. I didn't test it as a body wash yet but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna buy more just to smell it.

Greek Island Labs Natural Joint ($45): That price was the only price I could find for the pills online. It was being sold on e-bay and contains 30 pills. So this would probably amount to $7-8 worth of pills. We did not try this one. It's claims are not supported by the FDA so I don't really want my grandparents or anyone I know with joint pain to try it. Not sure what we'll do with it, probably throw it away. As you can see, Jongy had to oversee my shooting of this one.

Earth Friendly Products Organic Lemongrass Hand Soap ($3.49): The price is for 17 oz. The sample bottle was 4 oz. To be honest, I'm glad they didn't send a whole bottle. This soap smells good, cleans good, but it stripped the moisture from my hands. Now I don't normally have dry hands. My hands are usually good and I never have to use lotion on them at all. This soap cleaned my hands really well but made them feel so dry that I had to put lotion on them. So I'll probably just leave this on the sink and let all my family that come and go use it all up.

Molly Muriel Soft As Silk Shampoo Bar and Volcanic Bliss Bar Soap ($6 each): So that price is for a 5 oz. one. I got the sample size which I say is a decent size for sampling. The shampoo bar was tested by Bee. He really liked it. It lathered up really well and it was super soft. He didn't even condition his hair after and it still felt nice and soft. I'm thinking of getting more for him. The bar soap is a bit...umm...abrasive. Bee used this one too. He said it took some time to get used to the bits of, what I'm guessing is, bits of charcoal. He liked scrubbing his back with it because his back is always itchy. So we probably won't get this one but it worked really well. He felt absolutely clean after.

Sneakz Organic Yummy Veggie Nutrition Milkshake ($2.08): Yes, that is the exact price according to amazon. After my experience with the last healthy drink they sent me in May, I did not want to be the one to test this. Lucky for me, my youngest brother volunteered. We'll call him Bubba. This is his exact reaction, "Mmm, not bad...eww! That's disgusting!" So he said that the first taste is the chocolate flavor and then the aftertaste is all the veggie flavor, which he didn't like. My other brother, who'll we'll call Baseball, said it tasted almost like soy. Bubba ended up throwing it away. He couldn't stomach the veggie flavor.

Organic Flavrz Drink Mixes ($1.23): That price is the cost of a single pouch according to amazon. Now where did I see this before? Oh yes! In my Love With Food box. Now while my sister said it didn't have that much flavor, Bubba really liked it. So I'm letting him have it.

Skout Bar ($3.17): That price is for a single bar according to amazon. I tried this one myself because they had an apple cinnamon flavor. I love apples and cinnamon. This isn't that bad at all. The flavor is pretty good though I wish it had more of a cinnamon flavor but that's just me. The only problem I had with this was the texture. I can't quite explain it but their is no variance in the texture so I couldn't finish it because it was too monotonous for me.

LARABAR Alt Peanut Butter Cookie Fruit and Nut Bar ($19.99): That is the price for a box of 15. Bee ate this and made me try a bite. It has a great peanut butter smell and taste but I don't like nuts. So I made him eat the rest. It tastes good though. So if you like nuts, unlike me, this is a great protein bar to try. Bee liked it.

Son for Men Soothe ($13.95): That price is for the 2 oz. bottle on the Conscious Box website. We didn't get to try this yet. I wanted Bee to use it before I posted up the review but then I realize that it's already July! I had to get all my June reviews up. So yes, we did not get the chance to try it. I'm excited to see how well it works though. I like getting things that Bee can use because he is always looking for good products to buy.

There was also a $50 Wine Gift Card. I don't drink wine or any alcohol for that matter so this was useless to me. I have no idea what to do with it since I also don't know anyone that drinks wine. Everyone I know drinks beer and that's about it.

There was a $25 voucher for paperculture which I used to buy stationary. I'm so glad I got this. They plant a tree with every order you make as well as printing on 100% recycled paper. I'm gonna get back into the art of pen pals so I need stationary. It came at the right time.

Overall, I loved this box so much more than the May box. Seriously, it was way better. There was actually stuff we liked in this box. The products were more useful to me too. I'm so glad I stuck it out for one more month. Since I don't know the exact value of the samples sent, I'm not even gonna try to calculate it. The $25 paperculture voucher was already worth more than the box, so I'm pretty happy. This is a great box for those who want organic and natural products to discover new things.
