May NatureBox Review

About: NatureBox sends you healthy and natural snacks a month. It costs $19.95/month for the cheapest package and shipping is free. You can pause or cancel at anytime. If you don't enjoy any of your snacks, you can send it back for a full refund. There are three different sized boxes. The NatureBox Deluxe Package which sends you 5 snacks a month. The Family Snacker which sends you 10 snacks a month. The Professional Snacker which sends you 20 snacks a month. You can check out my tweet with a link to get $10 off your first box.

This is probably the box that I waited for the longest. It was shipped on the 16th and didn't arrive till the 29th. After the 17th, I stopped receiving any tracking information on it. I thought it was stuck in Richmond, CA forever. So I was very happy when this arrived at my door.

The first thing I saw was their card letting me know that they were going into a new look so there might be different package designs. For me, they were in the same packaging. There is a little info card that lets you know what you got along with great ideas for how to use them in a recipe or as a snack. As you can see, Jongy was quite curious about all of it and decided to walk all over the box and snacks during my picture taking, snack tasting process.

Banana Bread Granola: This was not as spectacular as I thought it would be. It smells kind of nutty and has a nutty texture to it too. I'm not a big fan of nuts and normally don't eat anything with nuts in it. But I love banana bread so I thought it would taste good. It's actually sort of bland and nothing spectacular. Bee agreed.

Taj Mahal Snack Mix: I didn't personally try this because Bee wanted it for himself. He loves Indian curries and flavors so I knew he would like it. Upon tasting it, he informed me that it had a very interesting taste. It was spicy yet sweet at the same time. He liked it and took it to work as a snack.

Lemon Meringue Waffles: These have a very strong scent. When I opened the bag, I was like woah. It smelled super lemony. Surprisingly, the taste isn't very strong. It is light and crispy. I have a feeling it would go great with some vanilla ice cream so I'm gonna try that later tonight.

Italian Bistro Pretzels: These are so amazing! It tastes super delicious, probably because of the garlic powder. Bee and I are huge fans of garlic. Definitely not something you want to eat before trying to impress someone but great for keeping vampires away. They are super delicious and make a great snack. We both loved this one.

Whole Wheat Raspberry Figgy Bars: I was a little skeptical about this at first because I only know how Fig Newtons taste and don't normally eat raspberry snacks. One bite totally made me a believer. This tastes so good. It's not overly sweet so it was perfect for me. Bee loved it too. As you can see in the background, Jongy was more interested in the box itself.

Overall, I love NatureBox! It was totally worth the $10 I paid for it. Definitely go through my twitter link so you can get it for half off too. Except for the banana one, it was a total hit. Bee loved it and so did I. The snacks are so great because they are natural and much more healthy than going to the grocery store to buy snacks. I can't wait for my next one.

Did you get a NatureBox this month? I know there were two different ones and I'm so happy that they sent me this one. How did you like your snacks?

Disclosure: I paid for this box. All opinions expressed belong to me or Bee as stated.

5 Things I Love About My Boyfriend

Since yesterdays post was about the things I fight with my boyfriend about, today will be a positive one. Here are the top 5 things that I absolutely love about Bee.

  1. He is honest. I know that whatever he tells me, he is telling me the truth. I never have to worry that he may lie to me. It's trust and that absolute faith that I have in his character that makes it so I never think he would lie to me. It's also a breath of fresh air because I'm sure guys say nice things to girls all the time just to get with them. Bee wasn't that way when we met so I knew exactly what he thought of me.
  2. He is thoughtful. If you read my About Me section, then I'm sure you know I love sweets. No one knows this better than Bee. If he is somewhere without me and sees a snack that I might like, he'll buy it for me. How sweet is that? No pun intended.
  3. He gets along so well with my dad. This was one of those, if it's not happening then we are not happening things. Of course, why did I even worry. They have a lot in common. It's always nice to know my family approves.
  4. He makes me feel safe. I'm a little paranoid sometimes when I go out due to previous bad experiences with stalkers. With Bee, I don't have a worry at all. It's quite freeing. He is very street smart so we never end up in a bad situation.
  5. He loves cats just as much as I do! Surprisingly, it's harder than one would think to actually find a man that likes cats. Luckily for me, Bee grew up with a cat by his side. He wanted a girl who would love his cat as much as he does and I fit perfectly.
Hope you enjoyed this post! I certainly enjoyed typing it. I'm sure this list is different for every woman. What makes you love your man?

What I Actually Fight With My Boyfriend About

This post was inspired by this lovely post over at Rainbows and Honeysuckle. Go and read it because it might give you ideas for your blog. This one kind of gave me mixed emotions on whether to write it or not but I think it will let you see me in a different light.

So our fights are probably lame or ones that others have a lot. We're still a young couple and he is only my third boyfriend ever. That's right, third boyfriend. I wasn't the type to date around or fool around. Bee is also 6 years older than me which may give insight into our fights. To narrow it down, I'll list the top 3 things we fight about the most.

1. Missed Calls and Late Pick-Ups

This one goes both ways though he misses my calls more than I miss his. The only time it ever really matters to me that he picks up his cell is when I finish work at 11 something at night and need him to pick me up. I would totally drive myself and park there if my job provided parking. Unfortunately, the parking that is available is $150 a month which I definitely cannot afford as a student and part-time worker.

 From www.trulia.com

When he doesn't answer and then leaves me waiting out in the dark in Waikiki with very strange and/or drunk people walking around, I am not happy. So we are always fighting in the car on the way home. The thing is, he gets mad at me for being upset! I mean, I hope I'm not wrong for not being happy with him. If he had to wait for me in the middle of the night to pick him up because I didn't answer my phone, I would expect him to be mad.

2. My Time Spent on the Internet

Bee absolutely hates it when I'm on the internet. Like, for some reason he just thinks I'm doing useless stuff that is not worth my time at all. I'm seriously hoping I win one of the giveaways or sweepstakes I've entered just so I can be all like, "Yeah, that's what I was doing on the damn internet. Are you happy now?"

3. Family Stuff

That's right, we argue all the time about our families. Bee's parents are judgmental of me.  They are always asking him why is Tasha like this or how come she doesn't do this and I hate it. It really hurts my feelings to hear things like that from him. The worst thing is he never, ever defends me. He always assumes that their opinion is right and I'm wrong and always gets on my case about whatever it is they are complaining about. OMG, I'm tearing up just thinking about it.

Fortunately for him, my parents never say anything bad about him...ever. My dad loves him and while Bee has his faults, my dad doesn't complain about it. My mom sometimes tries to defend Bee when I complain about something he did. I've never told him that about my mom even though he complains about my family to me. Guess he got that from his parents.

Well, now you know the three biggest things we fight about. We've tried to talk it about before but he always gets into the mindset that he is right and shouldn't have to compromise at all. I'm willing to change so that we don't argue anymore and am trying to do so as the days go on.

Do you think I should be more understanding? Or do you think that he needs to make a change? Do you ever fight about these things with your significant other?

Skateboarding and 50th State Fair

First off, sorry for the incredibly bare post yesterday. I was quite busy but wanted to leave you with a song that I loved. Sunday was very fun for me. Bee and the kids wanted to skate first, then we went off to the 50th State Fair. It's quite pricy so I hadn't been to it in two years and wanted to go very badly. Here are all the pictures of our exciting day.

I decided to throw these onto one big picture for the sake of not having to upload tons of pictures. So there they are, enjoying their time at Kaneohe Skate Park. It was quite small compared to what they are used to in town but they still had fun. Lucky for them, it had stopped raining when we got there.

Then it was through the tunnel in the mountain to the 50th State Fair!

If you live in the U.S. and can't figure out why it is named the 50th State Fair, then you might want to crack open your old history books. In Hawaii, we don't have enough land to have a theme park so this is as close as we get.

So many fun rides! I had a total blast. You probably didn't know this but I love fast rides that spin me around, flip me around, or that does anything to give me that exhilarating adrenaline rush. Roller coasters are my fave but we don't have those in Hawaii. Since I haven't been to a theme park in years, this was super fun for me. Last pic has the boys getting off our last ride, the Ferris Wheel. Great view from it.

For those that have never seen a pig race, they run faster than you think they do. I'm just glad I managed to get a picture at all of them!

I have to say, the petting zoo was really fun. Bee enjoyed it and so did the kids. In fact, one of them was trying to Instagram every single animal with him in the picture. He couldn't get the llama though. When he tried to take a picture with it, the llama tried to eat his hair. I would have gotten a picture of it but it kept facing it's butt to me.

Overall, a very fun and exciting day! I hope your weekend was a blast like mines! Hopefully, it ended better than mines since I had to work.

Do you have a state fair? Let me know about it! I bet it's way different from mines.

Revamp and Add-Ons

I have changed up some things. Planning is not my forte. So to match my personality, I decided to do away with the posts by day idea and decided that my posts will be spontaneous. I've also added in a Subscription Box List, as you can see up top.

Check out the About Me section to see the changes I did to that page. I hope you had a wonderful weekend Memorial Day weekend too! Enjoy this Sunday view from Bee's place.

We're having some gorgeous weather on Oahu. That also means it's hot all day long and sometimes even at night. So stay cool or warm, if it's winter for you. I'll have a post up later tonight on the fun stuff we did yesterday.

Let me know how you like the changes or if you don't. Now I'm off to work.

May Ditsies Panty Review

About: Ditsie sends you one new panty a month that is made in the NYC. You get to choose what style and color you'd like to get for the month. It cost $12/month and shipping is free. You can also choose to send 10% to a cause at no cost to you. If you don't want to get a panty that month, you can chose to skip. Changes can easily be made if you want to get something different for the next month. If you want to sign up, feel free to use my referral link and join Ditsies!

It comes into a discreet, little white package. I was totally caught by surprise when I saw this on the table this morning. With all the subscriptions I've been getting, I totally forgot when Ditsie shipped. So this was a nice thing to wake up and find it on the table. Apparently, it had arrived yesterday but nobody bothered to tell me about it. I was definitely excited to see what was sent because I had set both options to "Mix It Up".

This is the package. It was super cute! There was even this cute little clothes pin. It was the tiniest thing ever! I didn't even know they made them in that size. I'll probably end up using it to keep papers together rather than hang my panty up with.

So this is what the panty looks like. It is the french cheeky cut. I love the pink color! Definitely a color that I like wearing. It's very comfortable too. At first, I thought it wasn't going to fit because it looked bigger than the ones I have. So I nervously tried it on. It fit like a glove. I'm so glad that it fits me because I'm really tiny. I'm not a huge fan of this cut but one can never have enough underwear.

Overall, it was totally worth it to sign up! I don't know if I'll be getting one every month but I will definitely keep my subscription. What I'm really hoping is that they'll add more styles. Right now there are only two styles to choose from, the french cheeky and the brazilian cheeky. Next month I'm trying the other style. If you think you can never have enough underwear, Ditsies is for you.

Do you subscribe to Ditsies? What was your cut and color? Let me know how you liked it! If not, sign up here!

Disclosure: I paid for this box myself. What is written is 100% my opinion.

Thoughtful Thursday

Welcome to another Thoughtful Thursday! Sorry this is late. I had work during the day and was pooped after that. So after some gelato and rest, I finally got the energy to get this up. Good news is, it's still a Thursday in Hawaii. So here is the quote of the day. I hope that everyone really reads this one because it is something I personally live by.

"Don't forget to love yourself."
Soren Kierkegaard

Never ever forget to do this! You are unique, one-of-a-kind, and the only you in existence. I know that for some this may be hard to do. There was definitely a point in my life when I hated myself or how I looked. It took some deep soul searching to really come to terms with myself and how I was made. Now I try not to let anyone's words put me down because I can see myself for who I am and how wonderful I am at being me. You are just as wonderful at being you. Please don't forget that and learn to love yourself.

How did this quote make you feel? I hope it made you think.

New Hair, Lighter Me

Yay! I finally got some streaks in my hair. Just so you know, this is my first time ever getting my hair colored or bleached by someone that knows what they are doing. I've had my hair highlighted before but it wasn't so obvious that people immediately asked me if I did something different with my hair. But this is definitely noticeable and I totally love it!

I took one in the shade and then one with direct sunlight so you could see the difference. Forgive the plain face, I decided to go without makeup today. Sometimes it's nice to go natural. I really love how it turned out.

I hope you guys like how it turned out too! Let me know your thoughts on my new hair coloring.

May Mini Pawalla Cat Box Review

About: Pawalla has subscription boxes for both cats and dogs. You can choose to get the Deluxe or Mini version. The Deluxe one is $30/month. You get 7-9 premium full-sized products that include toys, treats, food, supplements, and other essential pet stuff. The Mini one is $20/month. This one has 4-5 products and will never include wet food. Shipping is free. When you subscribe, they also ask you for information on your pet so that the box can be tailored to your pet. If you want to subscribe, feel free to use my referral link to get $6.50 off your first box!

As you can see, Junior was very curious about this box. Though him and Jongy are pretty much curious about anything new that I bring into the house. Usually I shoo them away but since this box was for them, I let them sniff it to their hearts content. I think I was more excited to open it than they were though.

This is the Mini one so I got 4 products. There is an info card with details on each item. The great thing about them is that Pawalla promotes products that are organic and made in the USA. I think I'm more in love with the fact that they actually have a cat box.

Amazing Pet Squish Balls ($3.99): I must say that I originally got this box for Junior but I'm pretty sure he won't be playing with this toy. So far, the cats have showed mild interest in it. But I'm sure that Jongy will be swatting these around when his 11 pm play time comes around. He loves toys while Junior prefers to chase us humans around and swat at our legs. The quality of the toy seems really good though. Jongy does love chewing on plastic things so this would make a good chew toy for him.

Fresh'n Purr Cat Litter Deodorizer Crystals ($5.99): I just sprinkled some in the litter box recently so we'll see how well this actually works. They are definitely not lying about the smell though. It was like I was smelling a fresh apple. Hopefully it does help with the smell since I keep the litter box in my bathroom. It is not fun when I have to go to the potty right after one of my cats decide they want to make No. 2.

Natural Balance Perfect Bites Rabbit Formula Treats ($4): Junior loved these as you can see in the picture. As soon as I poured it out so I could take the picture, he started eating them. Jongy sniffed it and then walked away. That wasn't much a surprise since Jongy is super picky about what he eats. Junior likes to try everything. I probably wouldn't buy this myself so it's great that it came in the box so that my cats can try new treats. They have no artificial preservatives and are only 1 calorie per treat. Good because my vet said that Junior is overweight by two pounds.

Pet Head Dry Clean ($11.99): This is a spray on shampoo. You basically just spray it and then towel dry your pet. It is free of Paraben, sulfate, DEA, and is cruelty free. It smells amazing! My cats hate it though. First off, Jongy is deathly afraid of anything that sprays. When we spray anything, he runs out of the room as if his tail is on fire. Junior wasn't so afraid of it till I sprayed it on him. I basically chased them around with this to test it. It was kind of funny. They smelled good and it wasn't too hard to get them to stay still so I could towel them dry. They weren't too happy with me afterwards though.

Overall, all the products totaled $25.97. Not bad for a $20 box. I was kind of hoping for more treats but it's alright. I really like what I did get. It's near impossible to keep Junior still in a bath tub. When he's wet, it's like trying to hold slime still. Bee and I ended up just as wet as the cats the last time we gave them a bath. If the crystals work, I'm definitely going to get more. For next month, I'm going to upgrade to the deluxe box. I want to see what kind of wet food we might get and if my cats will actually eat it.

Did you get a Pawalla box? If you did, was it for a cat or a dog? I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. If you haven't subscribed yet, sign up here.

Disclaimer: I bought this box. All opinions are my own.

Sunday Adventures

Sunday was filled with skateboarding for me. Bee wanted to take the kids to the skate park but then it started to pour rain. So we went to AMR instead since they figured that maybe it wouldn't be raining over there. Luckily, they got some time to skate and I got some pictures in before rain started to come down on us.

Bee and his lion dance students trying out some tricks before the rain washed us out of there. I hope your Sunday was more sunny than mines was.

I'd also like us all to take a moment of silence to think of and remember those affected by the tornadoes in Oklahoma. My prayers are with them. I sincerely hope that none of those following me have been affected.
